A Belgian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot visited Hangzhou on April 29, making a stop at robotics firm Deep Robotics in Hangzhou during his first official trip to China's Zhejiang province.

Despite some light rain, the delegation observed live demonstrations of quadruped robots navigating slopes, obstacles, and autonomous inspection tasks. Company founder Zhu Qiuguo showcased applications in power grid inspection, emergency response, and security patrols.

Flagship products include the X30 quadruped robot, a flagship product designed to meet core industry needs in multiple fields that has been used for high-altitude wildlife observation in Qinghai's Hoh Xil region, and the LYNX M20, a wheel-legged robot deployed for camera operations and live event broadcasting.

A Belgian official from Wallonia's trade office said it was his second visit to the company, noting that its highly adaptable robots could be applied across multiple industries and would likely gain global recognition.

Founded in 2017, Deep Robotics specializes in quadruped and humanoid robots. Its products have been deployed in over 1,200 scenarios across China and more than 50 countries, including power utilities, emergency services, and media production.

The Belgian deputy prime minister said the visit was not only about observing China's innovations but also understanding how they are developed and scaled.
