A "natural giant fridge" — that's what locals call the 17 C waters of Xin'an River in Jiande.  

On Aug 16, over 600 paddlers will take to the water for the 2026 Hangzhou SUP (Stand-up Paddling) Series, racing through cool mist and summer heat.
