The new Hangzhou-Kathmandu route will eliminate the need for travelers to transfer in cities such as Guangzhou and Kunming, providing more convenient access to Nepal and the Himalayan region.
The airport will also resume the Hangzhou-Qingdao-Vancouver international passenger route on Oct 2. Operated by Capital Airlines, the route will run on Fridays using an Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft.
First launched in 2016, the route serves passengers traveling from East China to Canada. Its return will provide a direct connection from Hangzhou, with a stop in Qingdao, to Vancouver on Canada's west coast.
