Hangzhou cultural expo to feature nearly 6,000 brands
The 20th Hangzhou Cultural and Creative Industry Expo will run from Nov 5 to 9 at the Hangzhou White Horse Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, bringing together nearly 6,000 cultural and creative brands from more than 40 countries and regions, along with nearly 10 international organizations.
The expo will feature five themed halls focusing on online literature, film and gaming, cultural technology integration, and cultural consumption. It will showcase emerging AI-driven trends in the cultural industry.
Marking its 20th anniversary, the expo will feature a retrospective tracing the development of Hangzhou's cultural industry over the past two decades, alongside a showcase of the entire industrial chains behind online literature, micro-dramas, and online games.
Technology-focused exhibits will include 120 products at the METAI Hub AI application store, eight of which will make their Hangzhou debut. Visitors can interact with robots, watch robotic performances, and explore immersive experiences.
International highlights include a special exhibition on the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, a showcase of British botanical-themed cultural products from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and a China-Poland cultural exchange featuring paper-cutting and amber jewelry.
The event will also host craft markets, illustration exhibitions, designer toy showcases, and intangible cultural heritage workshops. Industry forums and matchmaking sessions will focus on AI-generated film and television, interactive entertainment, and other emerging creative sectors.
