The eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou has launched its annual photo festival to add an artistic beauty to its iconic lake and river sceneries surrounding the downtown area. The festival features more than 3,000 images taken by Hangzhou residents, capturing the city's natural and humanistic beauty, as well changes over the past 40 years after China's reform and opening-up.
