Introduction:

Suwon is the capital and largest metropolis of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea's most populous province which surrounds Seoul, the national capital.

Suwon is a historical cultural city. Established in 1796, it was the first city that the 22th emperor of Korea set up. Suwon city was upgraded from Suwon County in 1949. The government of Gyeonggi-do moved to the city from Seoul, promoting the development of Suwon.
