During the forum, representatives from six cities involved in the Grand Canal cultural belt alliance and Grand Canal cultural belt collaboration-grouorganizations, including Beijing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jiaxing, Huzhou and Shaoxing, also gathered to promote the canal cultural belt.

Initiated in 2016, the forum has developed into an important exchange platform for cities along the Grand Canal to facilitate regional economic cooperation and the establishment of the Grand Canal as a name card for Hangzhou.
