The burgeoning tourist market in Hangzhou can also be attributed to the launch of the new railway route linking Hangzhou and Huangshan city in Anhui province, as well as numerous major international sports events being held in the city, including the 2018 Hangzhou marathon and the 14th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), which attracted over 1,000 athletes from 178 countries and regions across the world to participate.
