The natatorium of the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games is beginning to take shape, local media reported on July 26.
Covering an area of 397,000 square meters, the natatorium stands across from the main stadium of the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center, the first combined major sports facility in China.
With a capacity of 6,000 seats, the natatorium includes a competition pool, a diving pool, and a warm-up pool for international swimming events.
The main stadium is designed according to the competition venues of the NBA games and can house 18,000 seats.
It is expected that the two stadiums will complete construction on the main structure by September and be completed by the end of 2020.
