Over 400 young people from Hong Kong and Macao visited Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province on Aug 6, for an exchange program celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Running to Aug 10, the delegation was organized to visit local enterprises in Ningbo, Shaoxing, Jinhua and Taizhou and carry out exchanges with Zhejiang's counterparts in the areas of local culture, history, urban development and technological innovation.
The visit is providing a great learning opportunity, according to a young man from Hong Kong, adding that he had visited many cities in Chinese mainland during the past three years which had enriched his knowledge and broadened his horizon.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Macao returning to the motherland. Over the past two decades, the Belt and Road Initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have offered unprecedented development opportunities for Macao, according to a young visitor in the delegation from Macao.
