Digital economy empowers education with opening of Hangzhou iDEE

The 2019 International Digital Education Exhibition (iDEE) began on Oct 26 in the Future Sci-Tech City in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province.
The event, which consists of exhibitions, forums, and competitions, is meant to connect global digital resources to the Chinese education market.
Ten delegations from Finland, the UK, Japan, Mexico, and South Africa signed up for the event.
Companies and organizations participating in the exhibition included Finland's Ressu Upper Secondary School, Germany's GFM, the Israel Innovation Lab, and several well-known Chinese firms such as Netease and Ding Talk.
The China Intelligent Robots Wrestling Contest, a part of the iDEE, attracted more than 530 teams from 178 universities, including China's prestigious Tsinghua Univeristy, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Zhejiang University.
A three-day forum will bring together respected educators from around the globe to discuss the latest education philosophies. A consortium for presidents of renowned schools and universities will be launched during the forum.
The exhibition was sponsored by the Zhejiang Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy, the Hangzhou Bureau of Commerce, Hangzhou Daily, and the management committee of Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City. It was hosted by Zhejiang Huamei Holding Co Ltd and Zhejiang Megamedia.
