Hangzhou to spend $3.68b on road construction

Hangzhou plans to spend more than 26 billion yuan ($3.68 billion) on 328 road construction projects this year, according to a recent announcement made by the Hangzhou construction committee.
Hangzhou plans to finish construction on 36 kilometers of expressway this year and continue building 149 kilometers of expressway over the following years in order to shorten travel time between the city's main urban area and its suburbs to just 45 minutes or less.
The city will also build 27 sideways with a total length of 10 kilometers in the city's main urban area.
