Venue for equestrian events to start construction
The construction of a venue for equestrian competitions during the Hangzhou Asian Games will begin at the end of April and is expected to be completed in October 2021.
The venue and its supporting facilities, including horse stables and a branch of the Asian Games village, will be constructed on a tree farm located in Tonglu, a county-level city under the administration of Hangzhou, the Games' host city. There will also be a 2.3-hectare special isolation zone for domestic horses.
According to the government’s plan, 80 percent of the main venue will be finished by the end of 2020 and the entire complex will be completed before October 2021.
