The Hangzhou metro was connected with the China T-union public transit system on May 12, meaning that people holding Hangzhou transportation cards are now able to take public transit not only in Hangzhou, but in other Chinese cities as well.

The Hangzhou transportation card was introduced by the Hangzhou Citizen Card Company and allows people to take subways in 275 Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

People will receive discounts when using the Hangzhou transportation card to take Hangzhou subways, while holders of other transportation cards will not.
