Meeting held online to coordinate Asian Para Games

The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) and the Organizing Committee of the Games held its first coordination commission meeting via video-teleconference in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province from June 2 to 3.
Attending were officials from the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the municipal government of Hangzhou, as well as APC Vice President Masayuki Mizuno and CEO Tarek Souei.
The meeting provided reports and plans to prepare the management, broadcasting, accreditation, transportation, marketing, media and public relations, ceremonies, and venues for the games.

The 4th Asian Para Games will be held in Hangzhou from October 9 to 15, 2022 and will feature 22 sports. Around 4,000 para athletes are expected to compete in 608 sports during the week-long extravaganza.
Hangzhou is leveraging the Asian Para Games to improve services for people with disabilities and provide accessible urban facilities, with an aim to create an environment where they are able to enjoy a better quality of life.
