The Chinese School Dubai, or Hangzhou No 2 High School Dubai School, will open in Dubai, UAE, this September.

The international school will be among the first overseas Chinese international schools operated by the Ministry of Education. It will also be the first full-time Chinese school established abroad.

The school will enroll 800 students in its first semester, offering full-time primary programs. Enrollment will open to junior and senior high students in the years to come.

The school is committed to offering high quality Chinese-style education for overseas Chinese families in Dubai and helping them prepare for overseas studies or applying to mainland universities.

The administrative committee consists of authorities from the education bureau of Hangzhou, the Chinese consulate in Dubai, and leading Chinese-invested enterprises in Dubai.

Hangzhou No 2 High School will use a student-centered model, with each class enrolling no more than 24 students.

The curriculum will include both traditional subjects from China's education system and extra international courses such as Arabic, sociology, and ethics. Before graduation, students can choose between mainland and overseas universities.
