Flight GJ8585 carrying 124 passengers departed from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport on July 21 and headed for the Wenzhou Longwan International Airport. It is the first time the Hangzhou-Wenzhou flight has been operated in 10 years.
The daily flight is operated by Zhejiang Loong Air. It departs at 7:45 am from Hangzhou and arrives in Wenzhou about 35 minutes later.
The resumption of the flight is part of an effort by Zhejiang Provincial Airport Group Co and Loong Air to respond to the provincial government's initiative to build a one-hour transportation circle, in which Zhejiang residents can travel to any city in the province in under an hour.
According to representatives at Zhejiang Loong Air, in the early stages, tickets from Hangzhou to Wenzhou will only cost 88 yuan ($12.55).
