People living in downtown Hangzhou and Tonglu county can soon cycle between the two places through a 10.8-kilometer green pathway, local media reported on Aug 2.

Starting from the Third Fuchun River Bridge and ending in Fuyang district in Hangzhou, the pathway is expected to connect people from surrounding areas such as Tonglu county, Fengchuan sub-district and Jiangnan town.

Pavilions and observation platforms will be built along the pathway, offering cyclists rest spots where they can admire views of the Fuchun River.

Construction of the main elements of the pathway is scheduled for completion at the end of the year. The pathway would be open to the public next April.
