Shi Dan is not like the ordinary hairdressers you might have met. The 22-year-old teacher at Hangzhou Gongshu Vocational High School was the hairdressing champion at the 45th World Skills Competition in Kazan, Russia, Aug 28, 2019.

She impressed the world with her calmness and hairdressing skills, and inspired many people with the words she spoke on the podium: "Only by devoting yourself to the career you have chosen and working hard at your job will you fulfill your aspirations."
