How Hangzhou has helped Nagchu with sustainable development

The narrow roads and shabby houses of Nagchu are a thing of the past. The city and its surrounding areas have been spruced up with towering buildings and wide roads.
The first group of 83 residents from Seni district left their mud houses and moved into new apartments in Happy Village in May. The project, initiated in 2017, received investment of 36.5 million yuan to build apartments ranging from 87 to 247 square meters. It is also equipped with a 536-sq-m service center.
In 2019, Hangzhou doctors carried out over 10 voluntary trips to local counties and villages, diagnosing over 600 Tibetan residents.
A department of endocrinology was set up at the People's Hospital of Seni district in November last year, the first of its kind in Tibet, which aims to treat and cure patients with endocrine and metabolic diseases.
