Hangzhou holds summit on human resources

The 2020 China Hangzhou Summit on Human Resources (HR) was held in Xiacheng district in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on Aug 27.

More than 600 HR professionals and scholars, as well as executives from a number of companies, attended the event.

Attendees discussed the opportunities and challenges facing HR companies and the latest trends in HR services.

During the summit, Infor and Automation Anywhere, two well-known international HR institutes, signed a letter of intent with the government of Xiacheng district agreeing to set up operations in the district.

In addition, HRoot, China's leading HR company, released a list of the global top 50 HR service institutes.

Nine representatives, including Yang Ying, an HR services professional at CIIC Consulting, David Anthony, a senior expert at the global client training center of Huawei, and Liu Gufeng, president of the New Business College of Alibaba, delivered lectures on their latest findings.

An official from the Xiacheng human resources and social security bureau said that development trends in the HR market have changed significantly, bringing about opportunities and challenges for the HR service sector.

The summit was held by the China Hangzhou Human Resource Service Park, which is Zhejiang's first national industrial park dedicated to HR services.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the industrial park has held many job fairs, attracting more than 170 HR service institutes and over 190 companies.
