Hangzhou's Lin'an district announced that this year's hickory harvest would begin on Sept 7. Lin'an is a famous production area for Chinese hickories, known as shanhetao (山核桃) in Chinese. The peeled and roasted nuts are a well-known specialty of Hangzhou.
