Online retail sales in Zhejiang exceed 1.2t yuan from Jan-Aug

The online retail sales of East China's Zhejiang province exceeded 1.2 trillion yuan ($177 billion) in the first eight months of this year, up 11.4 percent year on year, the provincial commerce department said Wednesday.
The province saw its cross-border online retail exports reach 57.7 billion yuan from January to August, up 21.9 percent year on year.
Residents in the province spent 624.6 billion yuan in online shopping over the same period, up 8.7 percent year on year.
Clothes, shoes and bags, home decorations and 3C digital products (computers, communication and consumer electronics) ranked the top three categories in terms of online sales, accounting for 28.7 percent, 20.5 percent and 15.6 percent of the total online retail sales, respectively.
