The Wuyue Culture Museum opened in Lin'an district on Oct 11 and is now the most comprehensive institution dedicated to the artifacts and culture of the Wu and Yue kingdoms of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms (907–960) period.
The inaugural exhibition, titled Millennium of Wu Yue: Land of Joy during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, spans three floors with a total exhibition area of 6,220 square meters. It houses 350 artifacts, including 150 first-class pieces, many on display for the first time.
The exhibition highlights the kingdoms' political, economic, and cultural achievements, along with its peaceful submission to the Song Dynasty (960–1279). Key artifacts include national treasures of "secret color" celadon in the form of a cloud-patterned incense burner, urn, and oil lamp, along with rare white porcelain pieces.
The Wuyue Culture Museum has implemented an ID-based reservation system where visitors can book their visit through the Lin'an Museum's WeChat account by selecting the "Wuyue Culture Museum" option and entering their personal identification information.
