The Mutual Learning Among Civilizations with a Shared Future exhibition opened at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on June 9.

The event, organized by the Information Office of Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the Xiling Seal Engraver's Society, spotlights graphic seal art as a cultural bridge among civilizations.

The exhibition presents the global history of seals through works inspired by each of the 193 UN member states. Artists from the society engraved traditional Chinese seals incorporating cultural symbols, natural wonders, and spiritual motifs unique to each nation.

Featuring a 30‑meter scroll, individual hand scrolls for all UN member states, printed albums, and over 1,000 interactive cultural objects, the exhibition transforms seal art into a tangible visual archive.

The opening saw attendance from both Chinese and international dignitaries, including Fu Cong, China's permanent representative to the UN, and Miguel Angel Moratinos, UN under‑secretary‑general and high representative for the Alliance of Civilizations.

The Xiling Seal Engraver's Society was founded in Hangzhou in 1904. It is renowned both as a cultural institution and tourist destination, preserving classical architecture and seal art.
