Less than two months after its opening, the Dongfanghong Curated Supermarket in Hangzhou has already made a mark as China's first one-stop commercial aerospace trading platform, local media outlets reported.
Created by the China Academy of Space Technology, the offline hub has already welcomed over 50 delegations from global governments, leading enterprises, and top research institutes.
The supermarket has drawn attention from international users in countries like Pakistan and major players in China's aerospace sector. With over 30 major cooperation inquiries, one standout success includes flexible solar wings — a cost-effective, high-performance product now in active development with multiple commercial aerospace firms.
Combining a physical showroom with an online marketplace, the platform showcases more than 200 aerospace products, from satellite components to specialized parts, divided into classic, premium, and excellence zones. It enables full-cycle services including product display, customization, and technical support.
As Hangzhou's Xihu district positions itself as a space-tech innovation hub, the supermarket is playing a key role in accelerating tech-to-market transformation and fostering deeper collaboration across the aerospace value chain.
