The 11th Worlddidac Asia 2025, Asia's premier expo and conference for educational innovation, equipment, and partnerships, opened on Sept 17 in Hangzhou, marking the first time the event has been held in China.
The three-day event featured digital education, AI-powered learning, vocational education, and interactive robotics. It combined product exhibitions, technical exchanges, and academic forums, creating an international platform for cooperation.
The expo spanned 60,000 square meters and hosted more than 500 companies from nearly 20 countries and regions. Over 1,000 international visitors from 35 countries and regions registered, with total attendance exceeding 60,000.[JS1]
Leading companies from Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark, India, and Russia participated, alongside Chinese innovators such as Alibaba, a major player in e-commerce and cloud services; iFlytek, known for its real-time AI-powered voice recording and transcription; and Unitree Robotics, recognized for quadruped and humanoid robots.
High-level conferences brought together UNESCO and other multilateral partners to promote industry innovation and resource collaboration.
Local organizer Zhejiang Meorient Commerce and Exhibition Co Ltd introduced the expo to Hangzhou, marking a strategic shift from helping Chinese enterprises expand abroad to combining outbound services with inbound events.
City officials noted that attracting global events is key to enhancing Hangzhou's economic vitality and international profile.
