Following the global success of Black Myth: Wukong, China's first AAA action role-playing game developed by Game Science, the title's first official retail store opened on Sept 25 in Xihu district, Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province.
Launched on Aug 20, 2024, the game took the world by storm with its cinematic visuals and deep roots in the classic novel Journey to the West. The new store marks a major step forward in extending the Black Myth Universe from the digital realm into everyday life.
Spanning two floors of over 1,000 square meters, the store serves both as a retail outlet and an art gallery. Every design detail draws inspiration from the game's mythical settings, giving fans an immersive cultural experience.
The venue also features themed desserts and beverages, creating a lifestyle space where visitors can interact, shop and relax.
Since its debut, the Black Myth brand has rolled out around 120 products across six categories, including clothing, plush toys, accessories, and bags, focusing on practicality and daily use while staying true to the game's narrative and themes.
The Hangzhou store marks a key step forward in building a complete brand ecosystem and strengthening the connection between Black Myth and its growing fan base.
Game Science has also unveiled a teaser for Black Myth: Zhong Kui, signaling the continued expansion of the Black Myth Universe.
