At the 2025 World Internet Conference Light of Internet Expo in Wuzhen, robots were the stars of the show.

From humanoid robots co-hosting the opening ceremony to robotic dancers, musicians, and martial artists making impressive showcases, Hangzhou's tech firms demonstrated the city's strength in artificial intelligence and robotics innovation.

Unitree's humanoid robot G1 performed alongside AgiBot's dancing robot, drawing crowds with synchronized high-difficulty moves. Zhejiang Sci-Tech University students presented their "Nezha" bionic expression robot, capable of mimicking human facial expressions and speech through over 30 movable joints.

AI applications from Hangzhou are also transforming everyday life. For instance, Infiforce's mobile charging robots — already in use in over 30 cities including Hangzhou — can locate cars and charge them automatically, reducing idle time and costs.

Hangzhou's presence extended into frontier AI fields. MindAngel Ltd unveiled a brain-computer interface wheelchair enabling thought-controlled movement; Star Vision introduced an AI-powered hyperspectral satellite for real-time global environmental monitoring; and Manycore launched its SpatialTwin industrial AI platform, selected among the expo's top 10 innovations.

Alibaba debuted its AI-powered smart glasses, called Quark, which boast visual navigation and object recognition capabilities, further underscoring Hangzhou's leading role in shaping the future of intelligent technology.
