At the third Hangzhou Micro-Drama Festival, Linping district unveiled its exclusive solution for taking Chinese traditional culture global — leveraging high-quality micro-dramas and an international strategy to expand cultural influence.
The festival launched the Hangzhou Cultural Global Action, aiming to build a multi-layered international distribution network through strategic partnerships with overseas media platforms and production companies.
The event featured expert mentoring, keynote dialogues, and cross-industry exchanges, fostering discussions on creative upgrades, tech empowerment, and global distribution.
Linping officials emphasized an exclusive approach, integrating Chinese storytelling with global appeal to create content capable of crossing borders.
To support talent and content innovation, the festival announced winners of the second national online micro-drama script contest and launched the third-season youth screenwriter incentive program. Past Linping productions, including Miss Zhao's Diary, Sitian Warriors, and Return to 1938, have received national recognition, setting new quality standards for micro-dramas.
Linping plans further collaboration with leading platforms to launch a production initiative, establishing full-chain support from writing and filming to distribution, ensuring Chinese cultural stories reach the world stage.
