The 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade West Lake Forum opened in Yuhang on Nov 19, bringing nearly 100 overseas buyers, African officials, experts and business leaders together to explore new cooperation.
At the exhibition area, Rwandan marketing specialist Idi Mukeshimana introduced DIY solar panels from Best Suppliers Group, alongside corrosion-resistant hardware, customized appliances and energy-saving lighting — products tailored to African needs. Interest was immediate: one African buyer expressed cooperation intent after a short discussion.
Best Suppliers Group's success comes from deep localization. "Our products are developed for African environments and consumer habits," said chairman Wang Yueneng. The company has three overseas warehouses and nearly 30 service centers in 25 African countries, offering one-stop negotiation, procurement and after-sales support.
Over 50 Yuhang enterprises joined the forum, many sharing their go-Africa experience. At the main forum, Holley Group Chairman Wang Licheng detailed how overseas industrial parks providing factory space and administrative services have helped more than 400 Chinese companies expand into Africa.
Yuhang's expanding African footprint is backed by strong regional openness. Since forming a friendship tie with South Africa's Sarah Baartman Municipality in 2019, Yuhang has deepened cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. More than 300 local companies now trade with Africa, with exports up 16.7 percent in the first three quarters.
A new cooperation memorandum signed at the forum will further link Yuhang companies with African markets in smart manufacturing and digital economy sectors — strengthening the appeal of "Yuhang Manufacturing" across the continent.
