Hangzhou held a global sourcing event on Nov 26 to connect advanced manufacturing companies with world markets, local media outlets reported.
The event brought together nearly 50 overseas buyers from 30 countries and regions, 35 local procurement firms, and representatives from 350 manufacturing enterprises.
Designed to meet Hangzhou's advanced manufacturing needs, it serves as a core supply-chain service hub, leveraging the city's industrial network to build a system that integrates platform support, policy empowerment, and resource aggregation.
The matchmaking event focused on key sectors including embodied artificial intelligence, smart devices, semiconductors, high-end medical equipment, intelligent vehicles, and aerospace.
Overseas and domestic buyers presented their procurement needs, enabling manufacturers to better understand global standards and opportunities. Dedicated zones for international and domestic buyers facilitated targeted, efficient business matching.
After the event, overseas buyers visited leading Hangzhou factories in person, gaining a closer look at production processes and quality systems. The visits were aimed at supporting long-term cooperation.
According to organizers, the initiative aims to bring global demand directly into Hangzhou's industrial clusters, help local enterprises reach international markets from their doorstep, and accelerate the transformation of innovation into industrial applications.
