Amazon Global Selling launched its Next-Generation Cross-Border Chain on Dec 4 at its annual summit in Hangzhou, introducing an end-to-end system that helps Chinese exporters reach global customers more easily and efficiently.
More than 40 new innovations were also announced to support high-quality growth of China's cross-border e-commerce sector.
Cindy Tai, Amazon vice-president and head of Amazon Global Selling, said the initiative marks a major step as the program celebrates its 10th year in China, noting that AI-driven tools and upgraded logistics networks are accelerating a new era in global commerce.
The new cross-border chain covers three stages — global launch, global optimization and global expansion — supported by enhanced supply-chain capabilities and AI applications.
New solutions include the Cross-border Selling plan, enabling sellers to list products once and sell across multiple Amazon sites, and Fulfill From Origin, which allows goods stored in local warehouses to be shipped directly to overseas customers.
Amazon also announced the global debut of its Global Warehousing and Distribution hub, with the first facility opening in Shenzhen in March 2026 to integrate storage, customs clearance and global inventory distribution.
In logistics, Amazon Global Logistics added Vietnam as a new country of origin, with services from Haiphong and Ho Chi Minh City to the United States, and plans to expand routes to Canada and Australia in 2026.
