The second Silk Gala recently opened at the China National Silk Museum, presenting a series of exhibitions, salons and forums that reinterpret silk heritage through a contemporary lens.
Highlights include the A Life Woven in Splendid Silk: Qian Xiaoping's Silk Artworks Exhibition, the China-Italy Fashion Dialogue, and the 4th Biennale of Natural Dyes themed local roots and contemporary expression, showcasing works by nearly 130 artists and researchers from over 10 countries. The events trace how traditional silk techniques are preserved, transformed and reintroduced into modern fashion.
Launched last year, the Silk Gala initiative aims to promote Zhejiang's silk industry, advance cultural exchange, and foster innovation in China's sericulture and silk craftsmanship.
