Qiandao Lake, home to 1,078 islands and 573 square kilometers of pristine waters, is often referred to as the most beautiful water body in the world. To capitalize on this, it has launched a global campaign to collect a new tourism slogan, inviting creatives worldwide to help shape its next international image.

Running from Jan 1 to March 31, the open call welcomes individuals and organizations who care about the lake. Submissions should reflect the lake's strengths in culture, tourism and sports, highlight its ecology, recreational opportunities, and wellness offerings, and be concise and memorable, with no more than 16 Chinese characters.

In September 2025, Chun'an county, which oversees Qiandao Lake, unveiled new measures to accelerate the innovative transformation of its tourism sector, underscoring the need for a brand message that conveys Qiandao Lake's ambition to become a world-class tourist destination.
