A long-formation CR200J1-C Fuxing bullet train — nicknamed the "AD Calcium Milk" Plus for its red, white and green livery — entered service on Jan 10, running directly from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province to Qingdao in Shandong province.
The 16-car train operates the D182 service, departing Hangzhou in the evening and arriving in Qingdao North Railway Station the next morning. Carrying up to 1,012 passengers at a top speed of 160 kilometers per hour, it offers second-class sleepers, first-class sleepers, regular seats and a dining car, with fares unchanged from previous services.
Compared with older models, the new train features wider seats and berths, adjustable and rotatable seating, quieter cabins, more power outlets and improved accessibility facilities — delivering a more comfortable overnight travel option between the two coastal cities.
