Hangzhou International Airport has unveiled its first in-house cultural and creative brand store, Hang U, offering travelers a colorful blend of design, culture and souvenirs.

Opening on Feb 10, the new store features more than 130 creative products that are both stylish and fun, turning waiting time into a mini cultural journey through Hangzhou.

Jointly developed by Hangzhou airport and Zhejiang Airport Group, the store combines retail, exhibitions and interactive activities, allowing passengers to experience art and local culture before takeoff.

Designed around a vibrant dopamine aesthetic, the space uses bright colors and curated displays to create a relaxing, uplifting atmosphere that helps ease travel fatigue. At launch, the store also opened a themed exhibition showcasing photography, paintings and calligraphy by airport staff, offering visitors a warm, behind-the-scenes glimpse of airport life.

The product lineup highlights both aviation-themed collectibles — such as aircraft models and luggage-tag magnets — and items inspired by Hangzhou's Song Dynasty (960–1279) elegance and poetic landscapes. A special "Impressions of Hangzhou" stamp-collecting activity invites travelers to create personalized postcards as unique travel keepsakes.

Hangzhou airport plans to continue expanding the Hang U concept with updated exhibitions and new creative products, building a permanent cultural showcase that lets passengers take a piece of Hangzhou and a memorable travel story home with them.
