Chinese-made robotic dogs are making a strong entry into North America's warehouse sector, redefining traditional security and inspection practices, local media outlets reported.
Developed by Hangzhou-based Deep Robotics, the intelligent patrol solution offers 24/7 autonomous inspections, centimeter-level positioning, and real-time alerts. The system has reduced labor costs by 66 percent while increasing hazard detection accuracy to 95 percent, marking a significant shift from manual human-based security to technology-driven intelligent prevention.
Large warehouse facilities in North America often span tens of thousands of square meters, making manual patrols costly and inefficient, particularly during night shifts. Deep Robotics addresses these challenges with its quadruped Jueying X30 robot and the wheeled-legged Lynx M20, which work together to ensure comprehensive, all-terrain coverage.
Equipped with RTK navigation, LiDAR, and advanced visual sensors, the robots can maneuver through narrow aisles and complex layouts, eliminating blind spots. In practice, a single robotic dog can perform the workload of approximately three full-time security personnel.
The robots are also fitted with infrared thermal imaging and gas detection sensors, enabling them to identify risks such as overheating equipment, smoke, water leaks, and unauthorized intrusions. Alerts are transmitted instantly to a centralized management platform, allowing for rapid intervention.
The successful deployment of this solution highlights the growing global influence of China's embodied AI technologies and signals a broader trend toward intelligent, unmanned warehouse security worldwide.
