The Hangzhou Garden opened to the public on April 15 alongside the launch of the 15th China International Garden Expo in Wenzhou, bringing the iconic landscape of West Lake and the artistic charm of Feilai Peak to the coastal city.
Located in the central-western section of the Zhejiang Landscapes exhibition area, the 3,700-square-meter garden was inspired by the classical aesthetics of Hangzhou's West Lake, combining Jiangnan-style landscaping with Song Dynasty (960–1279) cultural elements and scenes of everyday life.
A major highlight is the recreation of the stone grotto art and cliff inscriptions of Feilai Peak, allowing visitors to experience these millennium-old cultural treasures in a new setting. The Mengxie Pavilion, built in honor of pioneering landscape poet Xie Lingyun, symbolizes the historical and cultural ties between Hangzhou and Wenzhou.

The garden also showcases Song-style architecture and plant design, complemented by immersive digital experiences. Visitors can interact with an AR digital guide, explore animated displays within the recreated Longhong Cave, and enjoy projections of classical paintings and poetry.
The 100-day expo is open to the public free of charge, with the main venue conveniently located within a 10-minute walk of Wenzhou South Railway Station, offering easy access to visitors.
