Hangzhou job and entrepreneurship week opens doors for young talent

Thousands of young job seekers and aspiring entrepreneurs gathered at the 2026 Hangzhou Employment and Entrepreneurship Week on May 9, where more than 200 companies offered over 3,000 jobs and 2,000 internship positions across sectors including artificial intelligence, digital economy, biomedicine and intelligent manufacturing.
The event attracted nearly 10,000 visitors and received more than 6,300 resumes, highlighting Hangzhou's growing appeal as a destination for talent and innovation.
Among the most popular employers was Unitree Robotics, whose booth drew long lines of applicants. Company representatives said interns are given opportunities to participate in real R&D projects and receive mentorship from experienced engineers.
The event's innovation exhibition showcased cutting-edge technologies from Hangzhou-based firms such as BrainCo, giving visitors a glimpse of emerging industries shaping future careers.
Entrepreneurs also shared their experiences building businesses in Hangzhou. Representatives from local startups highlighted the city's strong digital economy, supportive government policies and innovation-friendly business environment. They credited local government agencies and industrial parks for helping connect startups with talent, universities and supply-chain partners.
Officials from Hangzhou's human resources authorities said the city is committed to creating a welcoming environment for both job seekers and entrepreneurs.
