A China-Afghanistan-Pakistan youth cricket exchange event opened on May 14 at Zhejiang University of Technology, bringing together young athletes, coaches, media representatives, and international students from the three countries.
Hosted by China Media Group and the Zhejiang International Cultural Exchange Association, the event is themed "One Cricket, One Heart" and aims to promote friendship and cultural exchange through cricket.
Organizers said the weeklong program uses sport as a platform for mutual learning and people-to-people connections among young people from China, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
Participants will also visit museums, universities, and tech companies across Zhejiang, experiencing Chinese culture, innovation, and modernization firsthand.
The cricket matches are being held at the Pingfeng Campus cricket ground, a venue that previously hosted cricket events during the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. Multimedia coverage of the exchange will also be broadcast on major television networks in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
