The BRICS Premium Products Experience Center opened in Qiantang district on May 21, creating a new platform for showcasing characteristic BRICS products and expanding cross-border sales.

Across its general trade, cross-border e-commerce and local cultural innovation zones, visitors can explore items ranging from Russian chocolates and South African rooibos tea to Egyptian handicrafts and locally developed brands from Qiantang.

After selecting products on site, shoppers simply scan a QR code to place their order and choose either pickup or home delivery. Orders are then fulfilled directly from bonded warehouses, making global shopping as convenient as local retail.

Officials say the center connects high-quality supply from BRICS countries with China's vast consumer market while serving as a testing ground for cross-border commerce and a physical hub for international cooperation.

Since the launch of cooperation initiatives linked to the China Center for Cooperation on Special Economic Zones in BRICS Countries in 2025, Qiantang has organized more than 30 exchange and promotion events and established targeted partnerships with over 50 special economic zones and institutions across nearly 20 countries.

In the first quarter of this year, Qiantang recorded $279 million in actual foreign investment, up 223.7 percent year-on-year, ranking first in Hangzhou.
