Key foundation work completed for Hangzhou Bay Bridge anti-collision upgrade
A major safety upgrade project for China's Hangzhou Bay Bridge has hit a key milestone. All steel pipe pile foundations for the new anti-collision facilities are fully completed. Located in one of the world's toughest tidal waters, this is China's first upgrade project for sea bridge anti-collision systems. After the renovation, the bridge's ship impact resistance will be greatly improved, rising from 5,000 tonnes to 20,000 tonnes.
