A carnival featuring delicacies from all 11 cities of Zhejiang province opened at Wulin Square on May 29, transforming one of Hangzhou's busiest commercial hubs into a vibrant showcase of cuisine, culture and innovation.
Running through June 3, the event features more than 200 booths and over 1,000 specialty products across a 10,000-square-meter exhibition area.
A centerpiece of the event is the Hangzhou Pavilion, which brings together 21 leading food brands. Visitors can sample traditional favorites such as Dongpo pork from Louwailou and steamed dumplings from Zhiweiguan, alongside innovative dishes from emerging restaurants that blend classic culinary traditions with contemporary tastes.
The festival also showcases cutting-edge food technology, including AI-powered cooking robots, highlighting Hangzhou's growing role in smart catering and digital consumption.
Another crowd favorite is Zhoushan's Fresh Island pavilion, which combines maritime culture, martial arts-inspired design and local seafood specialties. Visitors can enjoy East China Sea delicacies, explore traditional fishing-rope knot weaving, and experience Zhoushan's rich coastal heritage.
Beyond food, themed exhibition areas feature emerging consumer products, including wearable robotics, smart home appliances, AI-assisted care technologies and cultural-creative products. Shopping malls across the Wulin business district are also hosting coffee fairs and beauty festivals, creating a citywide consumer celebration.
