More than 50 guests from over 10 countries and international organizations visited Yujiashan Archaeological Museum in Hangzhou's Linping district on June 7 as part of the Human Rights in Action in China 2026 Zhejiang tour.

Delegates from countries including Iraq, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Guinea-Bissau, Angola, and Russia explored the museum's exhibits, which present the 5,000-year-old Liangzhu civilization through archaeological artifacts, digital displays, and interactive experiences.

Visitors explored ancient jade and pottery relics and learned about early rice-farming communities that once flourished in the region.

Stephen Brawer, president of the Sweden-based Belt and Road Institute, said the visit offered a valuable opportunity to experience China's ancient civilization and agricultural heritage firsthand.

Opened in May 2025, the Yujiashan Archaeological Museum is Zhejiang's first archaeology museum. Built on the Yujiashan archaeological site, it showcases the rise and development of the Liangzhu civilization through an innovative museum-park integration model that combines indoor exhibitions with preserved outdoor ruins.

Organizers said the visit highlighted how technology, cultural preservation, and inclusive public services can work together to make cultural heritage accessible to all, giving international visitors a deeper understanding of Chinese civilization and social development.
