The organizing committee of the fifth Global Digital Trade Expo held a promotion event in Shanghai on June 15, inviting digital trade enterprises from across the Yangtze River Delta region to gather in Hangzhou this September.

Scheduled for the final week of September at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center, the expo will cover 170,000 square meters and feature a new token globalization zone for the first time.

As China's only national-level exhibition dedicated to digital trade, this year's expo will focus on AI's role in empowering digital trade and will feature one flagship theme exhibition, six industry-specific zones for Silk Road e-commerce, AI, smart mobility, digital entertainment, digital healthcare, and smart spaces, plus an innovation integration zone.

Emerging industries, including embodied AI, aerospace information, the low-altitude economy, and brain-computer interfaces, will be among the highlights. A new incubation zone will host five days of continuous project roadshows, providing a one-stop platform for exhibitions, pitching, and investor matchmaking.

Over 100 interactive experiences, including AI-powered virtual guides and robot baristas, are set to take place, along with the launch of an AI assistant for visitors. Organizers will also introduce an online year-round digital marketplace and an offline showcase for innovative digital products.

Officials have said the expanded expo aims to bring together both industry leaders and emerging innovators, helping businesses secure new opportunities while showcasing the latest achievements in digital trade and AI.
