World-first precast pier tech used on Hangzhou Bay railway bridge
Construction crews finished the last precast pier section of the Hangzhou Bay railway bridge. This marks the world's first successful use of this assembly method for cross-sea railway projects. The modular building style cuts offshore work risks and speeds up overall construction progress. The super-large high-speed rail bridge is scheduled to open to traffic by the end of 2027.
