Czech Parliament speaker visits Zhejiang to advance local cooperation

Czech Chamber of Deputies Speaker Tomio Okamura led a delegation to Zhejiang on July 22, accompanied by more than 20 Czech business representatives, to explore cooperation in trade, investment and technological innovation.
During the visit, the delegation met with Chen Jinbiao, secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee Party Leadership Group. They discussed expanding exchanges between legislative bodies and local governments, as well as cooperation in trade, innovation, education, technology and culture.
The delegation also visited leading Zhejiang companies, including Geely Holding Group, Alibaba's Xixi campus and Hangzhou Sunrise Technology Co. They learned about Zhejiang's advances in new energy vehicles, digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, e-commerce, artificial intelligence and energy digitalization.
At Geely, Okamura experienced several new energy vehicles and spoke positively about China's automotive innovation. At Alibaba, the delegation explored developments in e-commerce, AI, cloud computing and digital services. At Sunrise Technology, they toured intelligent manufacturing facilities and learned about smart meters and digital energy management.
Okamura said China's development was impressive and expressed hope for closer cooperation between the two countries in business, technology, culture and tourism.
