A seal carving exhibition aimed at bringing the traditional Chinese art form closer to the public concluded its Hangzhou run on Aug 11, with a touring exhibition set to continue in Shaoxing.

Held at the Xiling Seal Art Society Art Museum, the exhibition featured 328 seal carving works created by participants ranging in age from 12 to 80, including established artists, company employees, researchers and students.

More than 30 activities, including livestreams, book-sharing sessions and interactive experiences, were held alongside the exhibition. A stamp-collecting activity also linked exhibition visits with nearby cultural and tourism attractions.

The exhibition attracted about 50,000 visitors offline in Hangzhou. Its presence at the 34th National Book Expo, combining seal carving with interactive technology, reached another 560,000 visits.

Organizers also launched a digital exhibition and released three books on seal carving. They plan to make educational programs and public workshops more widely available, further integrating the centuries-old art form into everyday cultural life.
