Hangzhou in Zhejiang province has added floral displays to roads and green spaces around the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center ahead of the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo, which will be held from Sept 23 to 27.

The expo, themed "Meet the AI Future at the Global Digital Trade Expo," will highlight AI and digital trade integration, with AI companies accounting for more than one-third of exhibitors, and will debut a dedicated token zone and an AI application pilot-testing base. The expo will showcase innovations spanning general-purpose models, industry applications, and smart devices.

Several competitions will also be held during the expo, covering AI open-source technology and applications, brain-computer interfaces and healthcare applications, and embodied intelligence, to accelerate the application of AI technologies.

The exhibition will cover 170,000 square meters, with international exhibitors accounting for more than 20 percent. Malaysia and Hungary will serve as the guest countries of honor, while the number of overseas delegations has already exceeded the combined total of previous editions.

Representatives from 121 countries and regions and 29 international organizations have confirmed their attendance to discuss cross-border e-commerce along the Silk Road, cross-border data flows, and green trade, further promoting international cooperation.
